CHRIS TOMLIN'S NEW CHRISTMAS CD ALBUM "ADORE: CHRISTMAS SONGS OF WORSHIP" [Review & Giveaway]

What is Christmas without the beautiful music? I have always loved beautiful music and at Christmas time it seems it is even more special. I especially love the old tried and true classic music.

This new Christmas album released in October 2015 features classic Christmas songs with a mix of original Christmas songs.  There are special guest performances from Lauren Daigle, All Sons & Daughters, Crowder, and more on this album.

Songs:

  1. He Shall Reign Forevermore
  2. Adore
  3. Midnight Clear (Love Song)
  4. Noel featuring Lauren Daigle
  5. Hymn Of Joy
  6. Silent Night featuring Kristyn Getty
  7. What Child Is This? featuring Sons & Daughters
  8. It's Christmas
  9. A King Like This
  10. Bethlehem
  11. A Christmas Alleluia featuring Lauren Daigle & Leslie Jordan of All Sons & Daughters
My thoughts:  I am more of a classic's music lover and the more contemporary music appeals to a younger audience. I thought "Adore: Christmas Songs of Worship" was going to feature more of the traditional line of Christmas music. While I found "Adore" repertoire of songs to consist of words glorifying the Christ, I did not find the music classic or traditional with the exception of the group singing "Silent Night" and "Hymn of Joy."

So for contemporary Christian music fans and those to whom the music of Chris Tomlin appeals, this is most likely your style. The music does have a reverence to it and the words do definitely lend to worship. I plan to pass this CD along to a family member who does enjoy this style of music and anticipate that it will be played extensively over the holidays.

  1. I love Chris Tomlin's music. I met him once. But I didn't know he had a new Christmas album out and that he's on tour with Crowder and Lauren Daigle. Unfortunately, he's not coming to Houston.

  2. I LOVE Chris Tomlin's music. I was happy to see that most of his concerts for this tour are sold out. Sad that he won't be in Texas until January 2016.
