Pansy in Paris: A Mystery at the Museum by Cynthia Bardes, illustrated by Virginia Best

My thoughts:  Cynthia Bardes wrote her first “Pansy” book based on her lovely, lively toy poodle. The title is Pansy at the Palace: A Beverly Hills Mystery which I reviewed here on Chat With Vera. I was delighted to see she has written the second in this young children’s series of mysteries involving the little poodle, Pansy.

Pansy’s fame for solving the Palace mystery has become international! The French have sent a letter requesting Pansy’s services in solving the case of the missing portraits. So Avery shows the letter to her mother who decides it is time to travel a bit. Then Avery, Mother, and Pansy board a plane and fly to Paris!

They are met by the inspector (French police) who tells them about the case and shows them where it occurred. They gist of the story is that Pansy again comes to the rescue in solving the case of the trice missing portraits.

Another delightful animal book for young children and this one has a touch of mystery.  Beautifully illustrated by Virginia Best in the same ink and water color artwork that captures the sweet expressions of Pansy and Avery as well as the atmosphere of Paris.

I am delighted to be able to share this lovely book with my granddaughter, Avery, who has her very own miniature Labradoodle (kind of a poodle doggie). She loved book one and I know she will love this one, too.
