I know you're asking because everyone's curiosity gets the best of them, "What has the big wait been all about that folks have been whispering around the fruit aisle in the grocer's?" Well, it is all about a BIG CUP. But first let's look a bit at some stuff...
Did you know?
- Snacking now accounts for 53% of all eating occasions in the U.S.
- More than 50% of adults are snacking more than once a day.
- Musselman’s Apple Sauce is naturally fat free, cholesterol free, gluten free and low in sodium.
You knew some of that, didn't you. But have you really let it sink in what all-that-snacking-does-to-you???? Well, what do you want it to do to you? Give you energy? Yes, surely, of course! Make you fat? No and I know that is a silly question. But in reality it does often, face it - most of the time, make you fat or fatter or less thin than you want to be. So let's talk snacking that is good for you.
Have you ever tucked an individual cup of applesauce into your purse, pocket, lunch bag for a snack and after eating it wished it had been just a bit more? I have. Sometimes I need just a bit more of a pick me up. That is where the BRAND NEW BIG CUP from Musselman's comes in. Yep! These big cups now pack 6 oz. into each of them but they also pack that extra 2 oz. of wonderful nutrition that only quality applesauce can bring to the plate.
Varities: Cinnamon Applesauce, Original Applesauce, and Unsweetened NATURAL Applesauce. Something for everyone. For the purist amongst us, the Unsweetened Natural Applesauce is the prime product. Enjoy!

Apples give fiber, hence the "apple a day", but apples can also be used in applesauce, & in different kinds of meal recipes - from a glaze for meat, to a fruit salad, or a dessert.

I discovered a new (for me) recipes on their website and I'm going to try "Apple Cinnamon Buns" this weekend
ReplyDeleteGala - We want a report back on your Apple Cinnamon Buns project. Better yet, mail us a sample. ;)
DeleteThey were so good, my family begging for more :-)
DeleteI am familiar with Musselman's applesauce but didn't know about their other products, such as pie fillings, vinegar, and cider. I think it is great that the growers own the company. Thanks for this chance to win some of their applesauce.
ReplyDeleteFarmer owned is a plus for me.
ReplyDeleteI love Musselman's. We buy their applesauce and love that it is truly farmer owned.
ReplyDeleteApple a day story ... We eat a lot of apples at home. Now that I am on weight watchers I am allowed fruit for 0 points so I eat a lot of them. We bake them with splenda and cinnamin as a dessert.
ReplyDeleteI learned tha musselman's is grower owned!

Thats its made with refreshing fresh-pressed apple cider.
ReplyDeleteI learned that they are proud to be an American grower owned co-operative.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is from Chile and is appalled at the quality of fruit that we have here. I have to agree as when I visited for the first time in 2011, I was amazed at the variety and availabilty, not to mention how cheap the fruit is. Neither I nor my son are big fruit eaters, but we ate *alot* of fruit when we were in Chile!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part is that they are grower owned!
ReplyDeleteMy take on "apple a day" is my step-son is obsessed over applesauce. I mean that literally. He would take a jar of applesauce to his room and eat the whole thing. Every time we asked where the apple sauce went he would point to his belly. So we decided to buy the single cups so that he didn't eat a whole jar in one sitting. We are happy to report he can eat just a small cup a day and be ok with it.

ReplyDeleteI learned that they make vinegar too.
