The CAT Job Site machines - dump trucks, bulldozers, wheel loaders and excavators make play time seem real to little ones. Kids will load the trucks and then dump the stuff out. They will push stuff around with the bulldozers.
The Preschool K3 students were so excited to receive the new dump truck and fire engine for their class. They watched excitedly as the teacher opened the boxes and pulled them out. The kids quickly had both vehicles on the floor loading the dump truck with toys and pretending to put out fires in the doll house. (And yes, they "saved" the doll house!)
These toys have been sturdy enough to handle the three year old rough play and the teachers like the fact that they can flip a switch to turn off the sounds when they need to. Thank you so much for the opportunity to play with these toys!

My favorite toy was my big wheel. I would ride it around outside and it would spin when I braked very hard. I would imagine myself as a race car driver. I had so much fun with it that I bought one for my daughters who hate it because the sidewalk and pavement in our neighborhood is so rough that it is too difficult to ride.
ReplyDeleteMy daughters love their popcorn popper. They run around the house pretending that they are vacuuming the house with it. Or one will hide in a closet and run out with the popper popping. Even though they are 3.5 years old and this is a toy for 2 year olds, they like it so much that I would not want to pass it on.
ReplyDeleteI do remember my toys! I remember my Brothers toys more!
ReplyDeleteMy Brother used to have the trucks mini style that would rev up, he put it too close to my hair and my Aunt had to cut it out of my hair!
ReplyDeleteI really loved my Raggedy Anne doll my grandmother made for me :)
ReplyDeleteI made Raggedy Ann & Raggedy Andy dolls for two of my children for Christmas one year. The really treasured those dolls. They were played with so very much. I patched them several times. Truly a memorable toy. They loved the old hardcover story books of Raggedy Ann & Andy, too. Of course, there was "Johnny West" and his sidekicks and their horses and good old Tonka trucks.
DeleteMy Ragggedy Ann doll was my favorite. I took her everywhere. I literally loved her face off and her little dress is in shreds, but I still have her after 60 years. She still brings smiles to my face,

Kathy, was yours homemade? I made Raggedy Ann & Raggedy Andy for two of my children. They, too, loved the stitches in the faces threadbare and I had to patch the legs and clothes several times. Such a joy to think back of those loving, happy times.
DeleteI would like to win the CAT Dump Truck .

My favorite toy growing up was ALF - I had everything of ALF - the stuffed toy, the bed sheet, anything you can think of.
ReplyDeleteI've kept it for all these years and now my 4 year old can play with it. It is torn in places but it has so many good memories for me :)
My fav toy was my Mrs. Beasley doll. I loved her!
DeleteI loved my baby dolls
ReplyDeleteMy fave toy was my big wheel. It was purple and pink with the things in the tire that made sounds and usually drove my parents crazy. I drive that thing until the tires got holes in them:)
ReplyDeleteI love these toys. Thanks for the chance to win one.
ReplyDeleteI used to have a Bitty Baby doll that I got from my Grandma. Her name was Rosemary. My cousin had one as well.
ReplyDeleteI had a stuffed pig. It was not a particular brand or style, but I loved it - until I lost it somewhere. It was the END of my world; we even put "Lost Pig" signs up in the neighborhood. It was never found, but my aunt made me a new one - which I also lost. Pig #3 lasted years and years and is now literally in shreds, but I still have him. :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite toys I had was a little baby doll. His body soft and filled with the stuff in beanie babies. He had a cute hat and tiny wisps of hair peeking out from underneath. I still remember his name, Jacob. My mom still has him in her keepsake box, he is incredibly dirty, he has a few holes (one arm is barely hanging on) and he lost at least half of his "beanies". But boy, did I love that doll!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite toy was Legos - I played with them endlessly. I love how many different things I could build.
ReplyDeleteOn of my little one's favorite is his green metal John Deere tractor. He loves playing "farm" with it. He improvises with the sounds.
ReplyDeleteI loved my play kitchen! I spent hours 'making' meals!
ReplyDeleteMayla, I was a little girl of the early 1940s and I had a little play kitchen sink/cabinet and stove. Of course, the stove was only pretend. But the sink was fantastic. It had a little tray/compartment on the back that I could put water in. Then when you turned the spigot, water came out the tap. There is no telling how much mess my mother had to clean up. I don't recall her being impatient with me about that or anything else. But that water surely spilled everywhere. :)
DeleteWhen I was a child I had the Barbie Country Camper. I was so happy when a woke on Christmas and found that yellow and orange camper under the tree. I spent many happy hours playing with.
ReplyDeleteMy eldest daughters favorite toy were her American Girls Dolls. She took such good care of them. She could carefully brush their hair and she was careful to always close the Velcro so their clothes would not snag. They are carefully stored away waiting for her to have a little girl to love them.
ReplyDeleteI had a LIFE SIZE stuffed monkey growing up... I LOVED that thing!! I slept with it, dressed it, and layed on it on the floor watching tv. Man I miss that monkey!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder. I had a special stuffed dog that played music when you wound it up. I remember making it wind faster so the music would play faster not knowing I would break it. I still have that special stuffed dog and gave it to my little girl.
ReplyDeleteFunny I don't really remember the toys except for Barbie; and I didn't play with her very often. It was always about books for me as far back as I can remember. I remember the Dr Seuss Books... I loved those; then Black Beauty was my favourite for a very long time - even though I cried every time I read it! As a child you never saw me without a book in my hand. I took one everywhere. Great memories.
ReplyDeletegrowing up my favorite toy was a stuffed winnie the pooh. I still have him. I used to watch scary movies by hiding my face behind the bear and peeking around him.
ReplyDeleteAh, sweet Pooh Bear! We do love him. My children did, too.
ReplyDeleteI I loved animals and bugs and nature. I was always catching critters and trying to raise them or nurse them back to health. as far as actual toys, Barbie wins.
