This is a good book to introduce the concept of migration to young children. I especially enjoy the teacher help pages at the end of the book presenting additional information and questions that can be used in a classroom setting. This book would be appropriate to use with small preschool age children, that will love the colorful pictures, as well as older elementary children that will benefit from the text. (rev.C.Delorge)

I support anything that supports reading. You would not believe how many of my friends with kids (that are professionals even) have absolutely not books in their house. Then some of them that own a kindle have no kids books on the kindle. I keep thinking about that Fahrenheit book so I am happy for childrens book week.

ReplyDeleteI try to take the kids once a week but it ends up being once every two weeks. I go about 3 times a week because I work next door to the library. I use a lot of interlibrary loan since the selection at the branch is poor but you can order from several different local libraries including ones in different counties and a college. The kids are kind of loud since we go late and they are cranky so they have had trouble sitting through story time and puppet shows.
